Well, well, well. It’s Friday — a Good Friday, if you will — and we’re closing the week out here at Open Tabs by getting you ready for the weekend. This was our maiden voyage, our first foray into the big bad world of newsletters. And honestly? It was pretty darn fun.

If you’re not trying to relax, turn up with Ace and his Pakistani dance crew. Anytime he pops up on my feed it’s always a fun video where he’s giving dance lessons to a new group of people. No clue how he fell into this niche where he goes live with Pakistani dancers — but I’m glad he did. They’re becoming mini celebs back in Pakistan, and the effort they put into learning the choreo is so much fun to watch. Just good vibes all around.

Also — if you haven’t watched Love On The Spectrum, I can’t recommend it enough. There are so many reality TV shows out there these days it can be hard to figure out what to watch, but this show is a true gem. People with autism navigating dating with humor, insight, and major heart. Especially Connor — dude is always coming in with the most unexpectedly witty one-liners.

I love these connections like this because it’s great to see them 30+ years later still rapping. A little kid gets to meet his idol, Nikola Jokic… and it just keeps getting better. One of those rare, actually pure internet moments. You will tear up.

And this second one? I caught the first video of Simon paying for a young designer to design a dress for his wife. Now the follow up is she’s got the designs ready to go — but she doesn’t know how to sew. So what does he do? Sends her to a sewing course and buys her a sewing machine.
